Privacy Policy

RenewalUp
Effective date: August 15, 2026

RenewalUp helps you track expiration dates and get reminders before they lapse. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and who it is shared with.

This page applies only to the RenewalUp mobile app, not to the rest of matteziashi.com.

What we collect

Account. When you open the app we create an anonymous account so your renewals can be saved. You can optionally add an email and password to recover your data on another device. Passwords are stored by our auth provider, not in a readable form in the app.

Renewals you enter. We store items you add, such as title, category, expiration date, notes, reminder preferences, and (for subscriptions) a brand name. We do not store photos of your documents.

Scan photos. If you use the camera or pick an image, the photo is sent once to read an expiration date, then discarded. We do not keep the image in our database or file storage.

Purchases. If you buy Premium, Apple or Google process the payment. We store that your account is Premium so the free limit can be lifted. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

Device. We store a session on the device so you stay signed in, reminder settings, and locally scheduled notifications. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

How we use it

  • Save and show your renewal list

  • Schedule local reminders on your device

  • Read expiration dates from a photo you choose

  • Process Premium purchases and restore them

  • Send a password-reset email if you ask for one

We do not sell your data. We do not use your document photos for advertising or model training of our own.

Who we share it with

We use these services to run the app:

Supabase - Accounts, renewal data, and the scan backend

Anthropic (Claude) - Reads expiration dates from scan photos. Photos are sent for that request only; we do not store them afterward

RevenueCat, Apple, Google - In-app purchases

logo.dev / Google favicons - Subscription brand logos (domain only, not your personal data)

These providers process data under their own policies. Scan photos may be processed by Anthropic according to their API terms.

Photos and documents

RenewalUp is not a document vault. Point the camera at an expiration date. We aim to extract a date and a short label — not to keep a copy of your ID, passport, or insurance card.

Do not photograph anything you are not comfortable sending for a one-time read. You can always enter a date manually instead.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your device. We do not send marketing push notifications.

Data retention and deletion

Renewal data stays until you delete an item or your account. Scan photos are not retained after the read.

To delete your account and stored renewals, email meziashi@gmail.com from the email on your account (or describe the device if you never added an email). We will delete associated account data within a reasonable time, except records we must keep for accounting or legal reasons (for example, a purchase).

Children

RenewalUp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your choices

  • Use the app without adding an email

  • Enter dates manually instead of scanning

  • Turn reminders off in Settings

  • Delete individual renewals in the app

  • Request account deletion as described above

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date on this page.

Terms of Use

RenewalUp
Effective date: August 15, 2026

RenewalUp is a reminder app for expiration dates. It is provided as-is. We do not guarantee you will never miss a renewal — keep your own records for anything legally important.

Premium is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited renewals on the account that bought it. Purchases are billed by Apple or Google and follow their refund rules.

Do not use the scan feature for anything you are not allowed to photograph or send for processing.
